Enterprise Village

About Enterprise VillageCreated in 1989, Enterprise Village is designed to help students develop basic economic concepts and understand the process between businesses and consumers. Every fifth-grade student first learns economics in the classroom before their one-day field trip to the village. They get to work in one of over 20 businesses provided by our community business partners, simulating what a professional career entails.

Curriculum

Prior to visiting Enterprise Village, students engage in classroom curriculum that is designed to help develop basic economic concepts and understand the process between businesses and consumers. ELA and Math lessons are aligned to Florida's B.E.S.T. standards and can be completed in approximately 20 minutes each. 

In addition to the ELA and Math lessons, students also prepare for the visit by meeting in their business groups to calculate business costs, create print and radio advertisements, fill out deposit tickets, and ready their checkbook registers for their Enterprise Village bank accounts.

Scheduling a Visit to Enterprise Village

At Enterprise Village we welcome public, private, charter, and out-of-county schools throughout the year.

Pinellas District Schools:Will be scheduled with help of the Teaching and Learning Department via a Form shared with school principals.

Private, charter, and out-of-county schools:Please contact the Stavros Institute at (727) 588-3746. Visit dates for the 2025-2026 school year are limited and Stavros Coordinators can assist with finding an available date.

Scheduling requests for the 2026-2027 school will begin in April.

Registration for the Homeschool day at Enterprise Village is currently closed for the 2025-2026 school year. We are currently at our capacity for the May 19th date.

Transportation Information

Pinellas District Schools

Transportation for district schools is organized by the Stavros Institute and PCS Transportation department. Schools will receive information prior to their visit with details on bussing for their day. No additional transportation request is necessary.

Out-of-County Schools

Schools located outside of Pinellas County are responsible for securing their own transportation to and from the Gus A. Stavros Institute. 

Charter and Private Schools within Pinellas County

After being scheduled for a visit, charter and private schools located within Pinellas County may request transportation to and from Enterprise Village. Transportation costs are calculated on drive time and mileage, beginning and ending at the Stavros Institute.
